It’s Not a Proper Barbecue Without Lots of Sides!
The addition of chicken to this salad definitely makes it more of a fuller meal, but no barbecue dish should ever be served alone — it needs company from some like-minded, party-ready foods! It’s not a proper barbecue if you’re not holding a plate that’s completely out of room. Here are a few ideas of some additional BBQ dishes you can serve with this salad:
- Cornbread: Who doesn’t love cornbread? Its sweet and crumbly texture complements the smoky flavors of the BBQ chicken and the refreshing crunch of the coleslaw.
- Grilled Vegetables: A medley of grilled bell peppers, zucchini, and asparagus adds a fresh and vibrant touch to a fuller BBQ spread.
- Baked Beans: Always an essential side, baked beans offer a hearty side that balances the lightness of the salad with their deep, smoky flavor.
- Macaroni and Cheese: Creamy and indulgent, mac & cheese is an all-ages crowd-pleaser that pairs well with the tangy BBQ sauce and crisp coleslaw.
- Watermelon Slices: Need an easy dessert? Watermelon adds a refreshing sweetness that delivers the perfect finish to a barbecue meal.
