Buffalo Cauliflower Wraps

In case you weren’t aware by now, cauliflower florets can be used to make exceptional buffalo wings—especially when they’re coated in crunchy panko bread crumbs. And while plant-based buffalo wings are certainly great on their own, why not make them the star of a tasty wrap? All you need are some Taylor Farms Cauliflower Florets, a bit of Classic Romaine Lettuce, and a few other ingredients you likely already have in your refrigerator. Put it all together, and you’ve created an exceptional handheld meal that rivals anything you can get from your local wing spot or bar & grill—and your air fryer does most of the work!

Directions

  1. Heat air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix melted butter and hot sauce in a small bowl. Add cauliflower and mix well.  Add panko and toss well so cauliflower is evenly coated.
  3. Working in batches, add cauliflower to air fryer in a single even layer. Cook for 12-15 minutes until Taylor Farms Cauliflower Florets are golden brown and cooked through. Put the cooked cauliflower on a tray in the warm oven to keep warm while cooking the second batch.
  4. Once fried, toss the cauliflower in generous amount of hot sauce.
  5. Divide cauliflower, Taylor Farms Classic Romaine Lettuce, and shredded carrots into four sandwich wraps. Drizzle with ranch dressing. Roll up, cut in half and enjoy!

DIY Panko

No panko bread crumbs in the pantry? No worries; making your own panko bread crumbs is relatively simple. All you need is some bread! Here’s a basic recipe:

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the crusts from the bread slices.
  3. Cut the crustless bread into small pieces or cubes.
  4. Place the bread pieces on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the bread pieces are completely dry and crispy.
  6. Once the bread pieces are dry, remove them from the oven and let them cool.
  7. Once cooled, transfer the dried bread pieces to a food processor or blender.
  8. Pulse the bread pieces until they reach the desired consistency of breadcrumbs. Be careful not to over-process, as you want to maintain a coarse texture similar to traditional panko breadcrumbs.
  9. Store the homemade panko breadcrumbs in an airtight container or resealable bag until ready to use.

These homemade panko breadcrumbs can be used in more than just this recipe, such as coating for other fried or baked foods, adding crunch to casseroles, or even as a crunchy topping for salads and soups. Enjoy!
