DIY Caesar Dressing is Easier Than You Think

Creating a homemade creamy Caesar dressing requires little time and results in an even more delicious dish. And you probably already have most of the ingredients for it!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon anchovy paste or 1-2 anchovy filets (optional for a more traditional Caesar flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

And here’s how to make it:

  1. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and anchovy paste (if using). Stir well until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  2. Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning by adding salt and pepper according to your preference. Remember that Parmesan and anchovies contribute some saltiness, so be cautious with the salt.
  3. For a creamier consistency, you can thin the dressing with a little water or milk, adding a small amount at a time until it reaches your desired thickness.
  4. Once mixed to your liking, cover the bowl and refrigerate the dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together for a more delicious dressing.

Store in an airtight container and use within one week. It’s great with everything from salads to chicken—and even burgers. Enjoy!
