Taylor Farms recently made a cameo on WSMV News 4’s Today in Nashville, where host Carole Sullivan teamed up with registered dietitian Chelsea LeBlanc to celebrate National Nutrition Month.
During the segment, Chelsea demonstrated to Carole and viewers how to “build a better lunch” by putting together a simple meal prep solution.
Using the Taylor Farms Honey Balsamic Salad Kit as the foundation, Chelsea walked everyone through how to layer ingredients in a mason jar for a tasty and nutritious lunch you can prep days in advance. She also tossed in juicy blueberries and grilled chicken for added protein and antioxidants and paired the mason jar salads with OLIPOP sodas. We just love a nutrient-packed meal that still feels fun and convenient.
“I love these Taylor Farms salad kits because they make it so much easier to get our vegetables in,” Chelsea said while giving us a shoutout for celebrating 30 years of delivering fresh, high-quality produce to kitchens everywhere. “They have a lot of different flavors, so it makes it really fun and easy to put these together.” We tend to agree!
Make Your Own Mason Jar Salad
We absolutely love seeing how customers and nutrition experts alike get creative with our salad kits. Whether you’re juggling a busy workday, managing your kids’ schedules, or simply looking for fresh and easy meal ideas, these mason jar salads can help you stay on track. The salads stay fresh for several days — all you have to do is shake, pour, and serve. Plus, as Chelsea and Carol both noted, the jarred salads look pretty amazing. Whatever your preferences are, toss in your favorite proteins or fruits to keep things interesting throughout the week.
Head over to our recipes section for more inspiration, including a BBQ Maple Chickpea Salad in a Jar recipe made with our Maple Bourbon Bacon Chopped Salad Kit. Like all mason jar salads, it’s a cinch to prepare in advance.
